The Most Famous New Moon of 2024

Did you see it? The most famous New Moon of 2024!! I want to hear how you celebrated/experienced the Solar Eclipse!?! We missed it since we were on a plane and not in the zone so would love to live vicariously through your experience!

 

Normally, I suggest starting something new or setting an intention on the New Moon. But because of the eclipse, there is a twist - it’s an opportunity to listen to your intuition, do some self-reflection and decide if it’s a good time for YOU to lean into something new OR take a little more time to reflect, notice or clear out what’s not serving you right now. 

 

Do either of those resonate with you? I’m so fascinated to hear how these celestial moments impact different people.

I personally started a new Light 56 challenge yesterday. I spent the last lunar cycle (~28 days) doing a couple versions of the Free 5-Day Challenge and playing with some potential practices I have been considering in addition to continuing the habits I’ve built over the past 6 months and finishing up a course from Stanford on Positive Psychology & the Science of Happiness. It was all good stuff but…

 

I can’t tell you how EXCITED & CALM I feel starting another 56 day cycle of practicing my ABCs.

 

We are headed into a busy few months with spring break, the whirlwind of the end of the school year: plays, trips, camps and activities…I’m forgetting something…. Oh yes - in a little over 56 days my hubby and I are going to climb Everest ok not actually Everest, but the equivalent height - 29029 feet in 36 hours. 

 

You might be asking yourself why I’m putting one more thing on my plate!?! But the opposite is true, I need this Light 56 challenge to feel GROUNDED, PRIORITIZE myself and most importantly feel PRESENT (my word for Q2).

 

My ABCs for the next 56-days will be:

 

A (Anchor - daily): Notice a Sparkle or Moment of Gratitude

 

B (Bright Light - 40 to 50 times): Mindfulness Practice

 

C (Challenge - 30 times): Something fun, creative or relaxing just for me!
