How do you want to feel in 2025

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year, the Lunisolar New Year, aka the first new moon of 2025. It feels like a gentler, more feminine start to the year compared to January 1, so it's a perfect time to intentionally decide how I want to feel for the year.

Did you know the moon’s cycle lasts about 28 days (the same as a female hormonal cycle) compared to the sun’s 24-hour cycle (aka the length of a man's hormonal cycles)? This connection is one of the many reasons I’m obsessed with the moon and the number 56 (28 x 2)!

New moons are my favorite time to start something new or set an intention…even if that intention is to stay committed to what you’ve already started. The moon is also as a monthly reminder that periods of darkness 🌑 are always followed by light 🌒🌓🌔🌕 and it's possible to find light in the darkness. For example, have you noticed how stunning the stars and planets have been lately? They’ll shine even brighter over the next few days when the moon is new/dark. It’s a beautiful reminder that there’s always light in the dark if you look for it. I could go on about stars, the moon, and the joy of sunsets after 5pm here in the PNW—but let me get back to the point of this email…




If you haven’t thought about your plans for 2025, now is the time. How do you want to feel? How do you want to define this year? What do you want to celebrate a year from now? Remember, even the smallest step or intention you start today can make all the difference. If you are already rolling on 2025, keep it going!!

I’m not sending this because I think you NEED to change, but because life is a journey, and we all change overtime if we like it or not…so I encourage you to take a few minutes to think about how you want to be intentional about that journey for YOU.

Here’s an exercise I worked through to figure out what Light means to me and how I want to feel in 2025…


A new kind of feelings wheel - one that is all about feeling light - joy, gratitude, calm, progress, confidence, and fully alive. Get your own.

Right now, what feels most aligned are the words: Curious, Vibrant, Clear, and Connected. To practice this, I’m starting a 56-day challenge tomorrow and have asked my Instagram followers to help me choose my ABC habits. Here are the options—let me know which ones you think I should try!

Anchor (daily for 56 days):

⚓ Writing/Journaling

⚓ Mindfulness

⚓ Handwritten Notes

⚓ Gratitude/Random Act of Kindness

Bright Light (40 - 50 times in 56 days):

⭐ Something Creative

⭐ Organize/Declutter my home

⭐ Organize Photos & Sentimental Items

⭐ Get to bed before 11pm

Challenge (30+ times in 56 days):

💖 Try something new!

💖 Small Business Action (anything above what I normally do for example: media pitches, working through some unfinished courses, networking, etc)

💖 Wear Sequins or Sparkles (this is my annual challenge to do more of so even if it’s not my challenge expect to see lots of Shimmer)

💖 Whatever comes second for Bright Light
